About Me
I've been working as a Sound Recordist since 1995, prior to that I was a live sound engineer, working with bands such as Black Grape and Pulp. My television career started in news, but soon moved on to current affairs and documentary work, mainly for the BBC at White City. I've forged strong links with many Producers, Directors, Journalists and Presenters and have retained most of my clients over many years. My client list stretches from small local independent production companies, to some of the worlds biggest media operations.
I've travelled the world, from the Falkland Islands to Iraq, Rwanda to California, and have experienced most situations a Sound Recordist is ever likely to experience.
My wide experience covers all situations from observational documentary's, through entertainment shows to large live outside broadcasts
I own a state of the art sound kit, with a wide choice of microphones, solid state recorders and full timecode sync capability. My sound kit has been sourced from across world, I use what's best for the job, I don't use things just because everyone else uses them. As well as full kit, I own a four wheel drive vehicle, which is available for the use of the production team, and carries full business insurance for use for tracking shots, as well as transporting on screen talent.
I possess a US I visa valid till 2014, a full clean driving license, have completed Pilgrims Hostile Environment training and am battlefield first aid trained.
